Hello!

I’m Kevin, a Canadian artist & educator based in the UK.

I help others tell visual stories, often using lots of colour, humour and research. Over the years I’ve created comics, animation, music and writing, analogue games and interactive narratives. I illustrated Great Adventurers (Big Picture Press), which won the Ordnance Survey Children’s Book of the Year and the ALCS Educational Award among others. I collaborate with magazines such as Aquila and Honest History and write my own stories. My work has been selected for exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair.

I have a PGCHE and 18 years experience teaching in UK higher education. I currently tutor on Falmouth University's online MA in Illustration and previously worked in the fine art media research lab at Goldsmiths, U of London. As a visiting artist, I’ve been commissioned to design workshops, and educational resources for the Architecture Foundation, Science Museum, De La Warr Pavilion, the YMCA, ELCAF and others, engaging with local communities and history. My research interests focus on “play with purpose”: exploring strategies for improved communication, collaboration and creativity.
