The Fur Trap is a queer, northern gothic tale about a teenager who escapes the farm in pursuit of rock and roll. It’s my love letter to pulp novels, fairy tales and long winters.
I wrote, illustrated and designed this limited edition storybook and recorded an accompanying soundtrack (on 7” vinyl record) with the help of some musical geniuses from Catapulte Records.
This video was made for our crowdfunding campaign and features one of the songs from the record. We wore the masks on our launch night, with animal dances choreographed by the late great artist Tobias Tak.
